Volume of the stream in text-to-speech full body

François 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 5

Hello Gil,

In my account, the volume of each scene for the text-to-speech can be set.
Is it possible to do this dynamically by indicating before the playback of each scene the desired sound level?
Parameter of the function http://vhss-d.oddcast.com/fb_embed_functions_v3.php?

Thank you
François

Bonjour Gil,

Merci
François

François,

Yes there is a 'setVolume' API call that allows you to do so.

However - please note that setVolume does not function on mobile browsers. The Mobile browser does not enable JS access to the speaker volume level.

Here's one of our API examples which demonstrates use of this function -

Hope this helps,

Gil

Hello Gil,

In "Scene options", it is possible to adjust the audio volume from 0 to 10.
If I offer my clients an avatar full-body with 10 sound volumes levels, i have to create 10 scenes.

With 6 models of avatar full-body 60 different scenes are  required whereas 6 would suffice!

It would be so easy to pass an optional parameter in the function http://vhss-d.oddcast.com/fb_embed_functions_v3.php?

to set the volume level not on the user device but dynamically on your server.

acc=xxxxx&js=1&H=340&w=194&bc=&fs=1&loss== 1&&rrrrr sl = 0 & r = 1 & min = 0 &

It would suffice to add a parameter like  &sd0 to &sd100 (sd for sound).

Ideally a linear volume of 0 to 100, not 1 to 10, should be proposed because Volume 1 is too high for some of my clients.

Bonjour Gil,

acc=xxxxx&js=1&h=340&w=194&bc=&fs=1&lo=1&ss=rrrrr&sl=0&tr=1&min=0&

I understand.

We opted to have this in Scene settings and not in the embed code.

There are arguments possible either way.

Regardless - you can control this feature in vh_sceneLoaded callback by calling setVolume.

I know it is a bit cumbersome.

Hello,

'SetVolume' works perfectly.

Thank you
