Sitepal for Gaming sites

Jim 14 years ago in SitePal Silver updated by aryaan khan 6 years ago 0
Sitepal could really be useful for the gaming community, especially combat gamers for mission briefings etc.

Things that could really help are more uniform options of different countries and different eras, including hats and helmets. TTS of more English speakers with foreign accents.

Options for more gruff, authoritative speech. Perhaps a shouting option if typed in all caps.

Since a lot of this is done on non revenue generating websites, probably be best used on the Silver or Bronze level.

Hello, my Avatars do not function on mobile phones, Why ?

As I'm reviewing old posts, I'd like to add here that all of our characters have long been implemented in HTML5, and all of them function fully and transparently on mobile devices (both iOS and Android).

The API is the same on all platforms - so from the developer's point of view, there is no need to do anything different for mobile devices - it will work the same way, with the following points to note  -

1. Mobile browsers do not support 'play on load' for audio or video. This affects all websites and is not specific to SitePal. Consequently - if you set up your SitePal character to speak automatically when the page loads, it will do so on desktop, but not on mobile. This will not cause an error, it will simply not speak.

Once the user interacts with the page ("activates" the page) the browser allows media playback. So, if the user clicks any button on the page, the SitePal character can speak.

2. setVolume api function does not work on the mobile browser. It will not fail, but will have no effect.

3. We've recently introduced an api function 'dynamicResize' which you can used to implement responsive design on mobile devices.

Hope this helps,

Gil

How to Embbed SitePal Characters on a Vbulletin Forum

Robert Johnston 11 years ago in SitePal Silver updated by Sumit 11 years ago 1
Hello guys: I have looked all over for the answer to this question but have not found anything definitive. I tried to put on the code, but it doesn't work. I'm pretty sure there's gotta be a way. But my head's turned to clay. I hope somebody can help. Thank you!

Do anybody know why? And here is my codes:

function vh_sceneLoaded(){ //event function
sayText('london bridge is falling down',1,1,3);
saySilent(3);
sayText('falling down',1,1,3);
saySilent(3);
sayText('falling down',1,1,3);
saySilent(3);
}
...

Best Regards,
Joseph

Many times SitePal just doesn't load. The loading logo just keeps going and going. My users need to refresh the page again and again. This is causing me to lose many users.

Customer Suppoer

Mary 8 years ago in SitePal Silver updated by Gil Sideman 8 years ago 4

I emailed customer support two days ago about some difficulty I was experiencing embedding an avator into a PowerPoint presentation. I have not heard from them yet. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? Is there a way to talk to a representative directly? If so, how?
