Change voice assigned to audio clip dynamically/via javascript

achr 4 years ago in SitePal Studio updated 4 years ago 3

Hello,

Through the web-app setup, I can obviously choose from a list of voices to assign to my 'audio setup'.

Is there a way to choose which voice to use for an audio segment through the javascript API?

Thank you.

Yes, using successive calls to the 'sayText' API call you can have your character speak several audios in sequence, each with a different voice.

We have a great technical example of that here -

http://www.oddcast.com/support1/saytext_classic.html

Click on the "Speak Greeting" link under the character to hear the character speak in 5 different voices in sequence.

Hope this helps,

Gil

can my site visitors access my account to change the avatar

No.  Only you can modify/update your speaking character and what it says, by logging into your SitePal account.

Once you make changes to a SitePal Scene in your account, these changes will be immediately reflected on your web pages everywhere that Scene is embedded.

Of course, if you want to enable users to select their avatars and enter text or audio for the avatar to speak, that's possible to do with our APIs. Depending on what you want to do, it may require the Enterprise API (which requires the Platinum plan).

If that's what you are looking for, it might be helpful to discuss/advise - please reach out to sales@sitepal.com.

Best regards,

TTS API stalls after a number of interactions, but not when running on localhost

jheno 4 years ago in SitePal Silver updated by Gil Sideman 4 years ago 2

Hi, We are building a chat application with a SitePal Avatar. The avatar (embedded into html running in a mobile webview) processes a sizeable number of dynamic TTS requests. When the html is hosted on localhost, this works perfectly. However, when deploying to a web server, the TTS functionality stalls after around a minute (or perhaps a certain number of utterances). How can we remove this limitation?

Can I download video via my site?

Michael 4 years ago updated by Gil Sideman 4 years ago 2

Hi,

I read that I can download the talking avatar video from your site.

Now I am going to do this on my site.

So I have one question.

My plan:

1. I input my sentence on my site.

2. Then the embedded avatar will talk with these sentences.

3. I download this talking avatar as the video.

Sorry, but can Is this possible?

If possible, could you show me any demo?

I think you can answer via this community or my mail.

Greeting.
