Gautam,
I'm sorry that's not possible.

Two possible workarounds -
* If only a handful of audios, and up to 2 min long each - record the audios using any utility on your PC or Mac - save as mp3 - and then send us the audios to support@sitepal.com - we will add it to your account for you.
* for even longer audios, you need to segment them - in 90 sec segments or less, and use our API to control consecutive playback.

Here is a simple example of playback concatenation -
http://www.oddcast.com/support/sayMul...

this example is with TTS, but can work the same way with recorded audio - just use sayAudio instead of sayText.

Hope this helps,

I'm afraid this is not on our immediate to do list.

What I can suggest for now is to set up different Scenes with different audios assigned to them - and to use your JS code to determine which Scene to load - a sort of poor man's 'sayAudio' functionality - it will work ok.

If you are looking for dynamic TTS for mobile - Oddcast (SitePal's parent company) has a cloud-based real time TTS API solution - without Avatars - that can be used on mobile. You may be able to combine it with your own animated content.if you are interested send a note to sales@oddcast.com

hope this helps,
Gil

Your implementation has uncovered a missing piece in our iOS solution. The video version of the Scene (which is played on iOS devices) is not currently being regenerated when the Scene is updated through management API calls.

We will update the implementation and correct this lapse. This update has been added to our development plan and should require about 2 weeks.

However please note that video availability will not be immediate. When a Scene is updated, the video version of the updated Scene becomes available up to 1 to 2 min later. Hope that can work for the implementation you have in mind.

The experience you describe is likely the result of browser caching.
If your changes are not immediately applied, try clearing browser cache.
Anyway - glad it is working now - works for me too - character speaks when I click the start button.
Let us know if any conclusions regarding the ipad playback.

You could try screen capture to a movie - record your SitePal Scene, save as a swf and then use it in captivate.

That would be your best bet.
Hope this helps,

This reply seems to assume that SitePal "embed units" are standalone swf objects - and that is not the case.
Unfortunately there is no good way to directly import SitePal characters into captivate.

You could try screen capture to a movie - record your SitePal Scene, save as a swf and then use it in captivate.

Seems like your best bet.
If you have setup the domain as a "licensed domain" under your "Account Info" page - then you should be all set.

From your description it sounds like you did what you should have done.

Can you post a link to the page where we can view the problem?
We will look into it and advise further.

Looking into it. Can you post a link to the page where the problem can be seen?
Thanx,

Hello Pankaj -
This error looks like it may be due to a problem that was recently fixed, where very long TTS text, when used with specific voices, would prevent a Scene from saving.

Please clear your browser cache and try again - if the problem persists please send a note to support@sitepal.com and include the text that you used, and specify the voice and language you selected.

Thanks for reporting the problem, we are standing by to learn more.

It is very likely this is due to a "licensed domain" issue.

For your protection (to avoid TTS stream theft) - you need to define a "licensed domain" - which should match the domain under which your page loads.
i.e. www.yourcompany.com

You define the domain under "Account Info".
Hope this helps - let me know if this does not solve the problem.
