We offer an "export as Video" feature - which allows you to generate a video from your SitePal Scene.
You would then need to use some video editing software to edit your video and add the SitePal segment to it. The person who originally edited your promotional video could do so easily.
Once you do that - SitePal becomes part of the video and you do not need an internet connection to display your video - you can burn it on DVD just like you do today.
"Export as Video" is not a standard feature - please send a note to sales@sitepal.com to find out more.
Hope this helps,
Gil

I see
The "No Javascript" embed code will not work on ios.
Our JS code is necessary - as it automatically detects the platform - and replaces the Flash with video playback.
We will look into better clarifying this point.

Are you using TTS or pre-recorded voice?
You have limited (not precise) control of the audio speed by using our "audio effects". One of the available effects controls playback speed.
This will work for both TTS and pre-recorded audio - but it is not very precise. Worth trying.
With TTS audio you also have the option of using SSML tags.
Checkout appendix B in the API documentation for a list of tags supported by SitePal. Certain tags control speech rate (speed). You may be able to achieve more precise control.
Hope this helps

Julien,
Can you send/post a link to a page that does not work on ios?
We'll take a look at it & advise.
(note that "embed in Flash" scenarios will naturally not work on ios)

In general - our TTS voices were designed to speak actual words, not random syllables or consonants, so it can be tricky.
You need to try out different options. Try and use commas and dashes to get pauses to happen. It requires experimentation. It helps to try different voices. Some behave differently.
Hope this helps,

For those devices that do not support flash - Scene playback is converted to video. The video of course is not interactive - and API commands will not apply to it.
This is, admittedly, a limited implementation. Our intention was to provide a solution that would at the very least be better than a broken link.
For those devices (such as iPhone) that do not support Flash - we hope the result though imperfect, is acceptable.
Please let us know your thoughts.

Hi -
I hope the problem was resolved through your interaction with support. But for the benefit of others reading this, please note -
* additional domains are added & managed under "Account Info" section. Click on "Manage Domains" button.
* SitePal does not support wildcards - you need to specify full domain names explicitly. The only exception is that www.mysite.com and mysite.com are treated as equivalent - you do not need to specify both.
Hope this helps. And of the original problem has not yet been cleared up, please provide more info.

Hi Justin -
Yes - the SitePal avatar can be embedded in secure pages
when you grab the embed code from your "publish" section, turn ON the checkbox "Secure Protocol (HTTPS)".
You will need to copy paste the embed code again.
That's it - should work without any security alerts.
Let me know how goes.

I would try two things -
1. Try different voices, and especially try voices from different engines. They behave differently. I would start with Paul and Julie.
2. Using SSML tags can allow you to control the pauses (and other things) in the speech. See API documentation Appendix C - and check out the "Break" tag first.
Hope this helps,
Gil
